Geisslers Supermarket Inc. Issues Allergy Alert on Undeclared Egg, Wheat, and Milk in Sushi Product

Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Geisslers Supermarket Inc. has recalled all sushi products produced by EZnoble Sushi and sold by Geisslers on March 26 and March 27, 2024, because they may contain undeclared egg, wheat and milk, creating a risk of serious or life‑threatening allergic reactions for consumers with allergies or severe sensitivities; consumers should stop using the products immediately and not eat them. The recall follows a follow‑up investigation that found labeling issues identified in a 2022 recall were not corrected.

The affected products are packaged in clear plastic with a Geisslers label and include the following items and UPCs; lot code(s) correspond to production or purchase dates of 3/26/2024 and 3/27/2024: Vegetable Tempura Roll (UPC 23421400000), Shrimp Tempura & Lobster Roll (23410400000), Spicy Crab (23401200000), Tuna Salmon Masago Combo (23450000000), Shrimp Tempura & Cucumber Roll (23402600000), Spicy Shrimp Roll (23401300000), California Roll (23400300000 and 23400100000), Avocado Cucumber Crunch Roll (23419300000), Salmon Avocado Classic Roll (23403700000), Cucumber Spicy Salmon Crunch Roll (23419400000), Tuna Avocado Classic Roll (23403500000), New York (Tuna & Salmon & Masago) Roll (23405000000), Salmon Combo (23408400000), Classic Roll Crab Avo (23403100000), Cucumber Spicy Tuna Crunch Roll (23419500000), Vegetable Roll (23401700000), Tuna Salmon Eel Combo (23408800000), Tuna Salmon Combo (23408700000), Shrimp Tempura & Spicy Shrimp Roll (23410600000), Shrimp Tempura & New York Roll (23410500000), Birthday (Tuna & Salmon) Roll (23406500000), Shrimp Tempura Crunch Roll (23419600000), Dancing Dragon Roll Eel & Avocado (23908200000), Spicy Tuna Roll (23401000000), Salmon Masago Combo (23450100000), Pink Lady Salmon Roll (23406000000), and Philadelphia Avo or Cucumber Classic Roll (23404400000). These products have been sold since March 26, 2024, online and at select U.S. retailers and Geisslers supermarket locations in East Windsor, South Windsor, Windsor, Bloomfield, Somers and Granby, Conn., and Agawam, Mass.

Consumers who purchased any of the listed sushi on March 26 or March 27, 2024, should not consume the product and may return it to the Geisslers store where it was bought for a full refund or dispose of it; consumers seeking a refund or replacement may also contact Geisslers by phone at 860‑623‑0176 or by email at [email protected] between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Eastern.
