Raleigh, N.C., May 19, 2026 — Nassar Investments has recalled Malazi Tahina 1 kg bottles after product testing detected Salmonella contamination, which can cause serious illness in young children, the elderly, pregnant women and people with weakened immune systems. Consumers are advised to stop using the product immediately and not to eat it.

The recall covers Malazi Tahina, 1Kg, UPC 6 224011 088244, lot code(s): EXP: 30/12/2026. The affected bottles have been sold since March 1, 2025, and were distributed between March 1, 2025 and June 9, 2025 through online channels and at select U.S. retailers, including stores in Michigan and North Carolina. The firm was notified of the positive Salmonella test by the North Carolina Department of Agriculture on April 29, 2026. No illnesses have been reported to date.

Consumers who purchased the product should dispose of it immediately or return it to the place of purchase for a refund or replacement.
