Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Palermo Villa, Inc. has recalled Connie’s Thin Crust Cheese Frozen Pizzas due to the potential presence of plastic foreign material that could pose a choking or injury hazard; consumers who have these pizzas should not eat them and should stop using them immediately. The company says the pizzas have expired as of Nov. 27, 2024, and the recall is being conducted in cooperation with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration out of an abundance of caution.
The affected product is Connie’s Thin Crust Cheese 20.36 oz, lot code(s) MR199856, item number 19104, GTIN 007570619104, best-by 11/27/2024. These 1,728 pizzas were distributed to retail grocery stores in Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin and have been sold since Sept. 15, 2024; the company reports the product is no longer available for purchase. Palermo Villa states that products produced outside the listed lot code(s) are not affected and safe to consume.
Consumers who have the recalled pizzas should dispose of them or return them to the place of purchase for a refund or request a replacement; retain proof of purchase if available. No illnesses or adverse reactions have been reported to date.
