GHGA, LLC. Issues Allergy Alert for Undeclared Sesame in Turkey and Havarti Sandwich

Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — GHGA, LLC. has recalled 8.55 oz Turkey and Havarti Sandwiches because the bread contains undeclared sesame, posing a serious or life‑threatening allergy risk to consumers with sesame allergy; consumers who have purchased these sandwiches are advised to stop eating them immediately and discard or return them. The company says no illnesses have been reported to date and the recall is voluntary following an internal audit that found sesame was not declared as an allergen after it was added to the major allergen list on Jan. 1, 2023.

The recalled product is sold in clear 8.55 oz plastic clamshells, UPC 8 2676615584 2, and includes all sell‑by dates up to and including Apr. 29, 2023; the lot code(s) are identified by the sell‑by dates printed on the front of the package. These sandwiches have been sold online and at select U.S. retailers, including Kroger stores in Alabama, Florida, Georgia and South Carolina, and have been sold since Jan. 1, 2023.

Consumers with the recalled product should dispose of it immediately or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund; receipts are not required.
