Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Grand Central Bakery has recalled U-Bake frozen pie products and frozen pie dough because they may contain undeclared egg, posing a risk of serious or life‑threatening allergic reactions to people with egg allergies or severe sensitivities; consumers should stop using and not eat the affected products immediately. The recall was initiated after an employee identified that egg was added to pie dough that was packaged without ingredient disclosure; no illnesses have been reported to date.
The affected products include U-Bake Pie Crust, U-Bake Apple Pie, U-Bake Marionberry Pie, and U-Bake Chicken Pot Pie with expiration dates between 02/01/2025 and 04/20/2025 and lot code(s) that correspond to those expiration dates. These items have been sold since Aug. 1, 2024, online and at select U.S. retailers and at all Grand Central Bakery café locations in Portland, Ore., and Seattle, Wash.; the products were sold through Oct. 20, 2024. Products are packaged in clear plastic with Grand Central Bakery branded sticker labels; the expiration date sticker and lot code(s) are on the exterior of the packaging.
Consumers who have the affected products should dispose of them or return them to the original place of purchase for a refund or replacement.
