Made Fresh Salads, Inc. Recalls Assorted Flavors of Cream Cheese Because of Possible Health Risk

Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Made Fresh Salads, Inc. of Bay Shore, N.Y., has recalled multiple 5 lb. tubs of cream cheese because they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, a bacterium that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, the elderly, pregnant people and those with weakened immune systems. Consumers are advised not to eat the products and to stop using them immediately; pregnant people and high-risk individuals should contact a healthcare provider if they have consumed the recalled cream cheese. No illnesses have been reported to date.

The recall covers 5 lb. tubs of the following flavors with expiration dates through Feb. 27, 2026, marked in the bottom left corner of the label: Apple Cinnamon Cream Cheese; Caramel Apple Cream Cheese; Blueberry Cream Cheese; Garlic & Herb Cream Cheese; Jalapeno Cream Cheese; Jalapeno Cheddar Cream Cheese; Lox Cream Cheese; Scallion Cream Cheese; Strawberry Cream Cheese; Sundried Tomato Cream Cheese; Vegetable Cream Cheese; Walnut Raisin Cream Cheese; Whipped Cream Cheese; and Tofu Whipped. Lot code(s) are printed on the container label; consumers should check the lot code(s) against their product. The products have been sold since Sept. 15, 2025, online and at select U.S. retailers, and were distributed by direct delivery to retail stores and distributors in Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx and the New York City area.

The recall follows company testing that identified Listeria on part of a mixer used in production; the company has ceased using and removed the mixer from service. Consumers who purchased the recalled cream cheese should return it to the place of purchase for a full refund or dispose of it safely; keep packaging if requesting a refund.
