Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Baloian Farms of Arizona Co., Inc. has recalled whole fresh American cucumbers packaged under the “Pamela” brand and in clear PamPak bags because they may be contaminated with Salmonella, a pathogen that can cause serious illness. Consumers should stop using or eating the recalled cucumbers immediately and dispose of them or return them for a refund; do not serve, sell, or distribute the product. Anyone who has consumed the cucumbers and feels ill should seek medical attention.

The recall covers bulk cardboard containers labeled with a “Pamela” sticker showing grower “Agrotato, S.A. de C.V.” and clear PamPak branded bags of six cucumbers with UPC 8 254010 7010 6; referenced as lot code(s) associated with shipments between Oct. 12, 2024, and Nov. 26, 2024. The cucumbers have been sold online and at select U.S. retailers and were distributed to customers in multiple states including California, Arizona, Texas, Michigan, Montana, North Carolina, Colorado, Kansas, New York, Massachusetts, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Iowa, Missouri, Wisconsin and Alaska, and to Alberta and British Columbia in Canada; products may also have reached consumers through foodservice and other retail outlets beyond these locations.

Consumers should either throw the product away in a secure trash container or return it to the point of purchase to request a refund or replacement, and should clean and sanitize any surfaces or utensils that contacted the cucumbers to prevent cross-contamination. For additional information or questions about refunds, replacements, or whether a purchase is involved in the recall, contact Baloian customer service at 888-840-6642, Monday–Friday 8 a.m.–5 p.m. EST, or email [email protected]; if uncertain whether you purchased the recalled product, check with your retailer.
