2. The Cheese

As regards cheese, you can choose whatever meets the two requirements. First, it is mild and goes with other ingredients. Second, it melts right, which is neither too oily nor too liquid. Pick one from the following cheese if you are clueless.

  • Swiss. Featuring a nutty taste, it melts perfectly and stays on your patty. In addition to that, it goes well with bacon or sautéed mushrooms.
  • Blue cheese. If you have a penchant for some decadence or funk in your burger, try out Stilton, which helps to turn your burger into a milky, green mess.
  • Gruyere. As one of the key ingredients in cheese fondues, it is designed for melting.
  • Brie. Go for it to make your burger a gooey and creamy one.
