1. More dangerous contaminants are reserved in farm-raised salmon
The most significant pollutant found in farm-raised salmon is polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), which are used in plastic and paint. The level of PCBs found in farm-raised salmon is 10 times higher than that in the wild. Eating fish is the main access to this chemical for human beings. People who are exposed to a high level of PCBs will suffer from severe acne (chloracne), rashes, and eye problems. Even worse, it can cause developmental problems to children and damage their immune systems.
