Another reason not to pick it is that farmed salmon is less nutritious and less diverse-diet. Most fish farms lack a diversity of creatures, so farm-raised salmon would be fed with a highly processed fish meal (ground-up fish), resulting in it containing more fats, while wild salmon tend to pack more diverse vitamins and minerals, including calcium, iron, zinc, and potassium than farmed salmon.
