6. Flavored Coffee Drinks

Before you order a matcha-flavored latte with extra whipped cream from a coffee shop, you need to look at the risk of heart disease associated with these flavored coffee drinks first. As concluded by a study in JAMA Internal Medicine, people who consumed 17-21% processed sugar in their diet have a higher risk of contracting heart disease by 38%. When you drink sugary drinks, you sometimes forget how many calories you're actually getting from sugar, because it's less noticeable than eating something like a donut or chocolate cake. But again, don't overlook the sugar and calories it has! It can be worse than baked goods.
